LibertyStream Commissions Fully Automated Gen 6 System at Freedom Launchpad as Freedom 1 Site Preparation Advances
Libertystream Infrastructure Partners advances Freedom 1 site prep toward December 2026 commissioning with its automated Gen-6 DLE system now online.

LibertyStream Infrastructure Partners Inc. (LIB) has commissioned its fully automated Gen 6 direct lithium extraction (DLE) system at the Freedom Launchpad site. The Gen 6 system operates on a continuous-flow model, reducing cycle times from approximately 60 minutes to approximately 20 minutes and lowering media degradation to less than 5%. The system has a design capacity of 5,000 barrels per day and has processed over 400,000 barrels of brine over 21 months.
Site preparation for "Freedom 1," the first 1,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) commercial-scale lithium carbonate plant, is underway with concrete work in progress. Commercial-scale equipment is expected in late Q3/early Q4 2026, targeting a December 2026 commissioning date. The company previously announced a term sheet for a 600 tpa offtake agreement beginning in 2027, with pricing fixed for the first two years.
Libertystream Infrastructure Partners Inc. (LIB) expects the commissioning of its Gen 6 system and the advancement of Freedom 1 to serve as key execution milestones following the definitive agreement with Select Water Solutions in February 2026. The reduction in cycle time to 20 minutes materially improves throughput and supports the previously disclosed all-in operating cost estimate of approximately $6,200 per tonne.
No new capital has been raised, and no new offtake agreements have been signed beyond the June 2026 term sheet. The news confirms on-track execution but does not introduce unexpected financial or commercial developments.
LibertyStream Infrastructure Partners Inc. (LIB) is a pre-revenue lithium development company focused on extracting lithium from oilfield brine using proprietary Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology. Its flagship project, Freedom 1, is a 1,000 tpa commercial-scale lithium carbonate facility located at Select Water Solutions' site in Howard County, Texas. The company leverages existing oilfield water infrastructure to reduce capital and operating costs, targeting the Permian and Bakken basins for future replication. Management has relocated to Dallas, Texas, and completed a corporate re-domiciliation to align with U.S. operations and potential exchange listings.
