TDG Mobilizes to Advance District-Scale Copper-Gold Exploration Northwest of Aurora Complex, Toodoggone

TDG Gold Corp. has announced a C$2.2 million regional exploration program focused on a 15 km-long structural corridor located northwest of its recently discovered Aurora Complex. The initiative aims to systematically evaluate untested copper-gold and epithermal gold-silver targets using geophysics and geochemistry to identify drill targets for the 2027 season. Key activities include approximately 55 line-kilometres of direct-current induced polarization (DCIP) geophysics and a 2,000-sample grid-based soil geochemical survey across the Shasta-Newberry trend.
The program is geographically focused on the area northwest of the Aurora Complex and north of the existing Shasta epithermal gold-silver mineral resource. The DCIP work is designed to investigate beneath surface cover for sulphide minerals, alteration zones, silicified rocks, and buried structures. Concurrently, a property-wide, systematic, grid-based 2,000-sample regional soil geochemical survey utilizing B-horizon sampling will be conducted. The strategic objective is to collect technical information to design capital-efficient drill programs for the 2027 exploration season.
Mobilization is underway, with camp opening activities having commenced. Geophysical crews are expected on site during the second week of July, and the program is expected to continue throughout the summer field season. The company has identified several target areas for evaluation. These include Shasta, where the company is evaluating opportunities to expand mineralization at depth and in the vicinity of the existing mineral resource; Trident, the highest-ranked porphyry/epithermal target outside Shasta, marked by visible gossan, altered rocks, magnetic feature, and Cu-Mo-Bi-Te geochemistry; and North Quartz, a historic drilling under-assayed potential porphyry target with supporting geochemistry and geophysics.
Additional targets include Black Gossan, a large untested magnetic anomaly with surface alteration and limited soil sampling associated with porphyry-style alteration and intrusive rocks, and Newberry, an undrilled multi-element soil and rock anomaly (Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, Zn) on trend with Shasta. Pipeline targets including South Shasta, Clancey, Baker Deeps, Dave Price, and Drybrough will receive first-pass evaluation.
Fletcher Morgan, CEO, stated: “TDG controls a continuous 15 km-long prospective corridor adjacent to a recent, significant new copper-gold discovery in an established mining district with existing infrastructure. TDG now has two parallel value drivers in the Toodoggone: searching for additional Aurora-style copper-gold systems, while advancing our existing gold-silver Shasta project (located adjacent to the Aurora Complex) towards a potential development decision.”
Paul Geddes, P.Geo., SVP Business Development & Strategy, added: “The Aurora discovery highlighted the effectiveness of applying modern exploration techniques at a district scale in the Toodoggone. Similar geological conditions to those at Aurora extend northwest across a large portion of TDG's 100% owned land package that have never been systematically evaluated using modern exploration techniques. We believe that systematic geophysical and geochemical surveys will provide the highest return on exploration capital by improving future drill targeting across the corridor. Our objective this season is to prioritize the highest-quality drill targets for 2027.”
