Orla Mining Releases 2025 Sustainability Report

Orla Mining Ltd. (OLA) has announced the release of its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance metrics and strategic initiatives for the year. The report highlights operational improvements in safety and emissions management, alongside significant community engagement efforts across its global portfolio.
In terms of safety performance, Orla reported an improved Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) of 2.43, a decrease from 2.59 in 2024. On the environmental front, the company maintained its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity at 0.24 tonnes CO2e per ounce of gold produced. This stability in emissions intensity was achieved despite the addition of the Musselwhite mine to the company’s portfolio.
Community and Indigenous relations featured prominently in the report. Orla partnered with 24 First Nations and Wataynikaneyap Power to establish a US$6.6 million education and skills development fund for Indigenous youth and communities in Northwestern Ontario. At the Musselwhite operation, the company introduced an all-Indigenous virtual mental health and wellness clinic and implemented a Cultural Leave Policy.
Food security initiatives were also detailed, with Orla delivering over 20,000 meals in Nevada and distributing 900 food packages in Mexico. Additionally, the company supported expanded food processing facilities in Northwestern Ontario.
On the governance front, 20% of Orla's 2025 corporate goals were linked to ESG targets, all of which were achieved.
"Orla endeavours to integrate sustainability into how it operates, not as a separate function, but as part of how the Company makes decisions, builds relationships, and creates lasting value for employees, communities, Indigenous partners, and shareholders. As our footprint grows, so does our responsibility to uphold these commitments across an increasingly complex operating environment," said Silvana Costa, Orla's Chief Sustainability Officer.
