HPQ Silicon begins production of Endura+ battery cells

Mr. Bernard Tourillon reports HPQ SILICON STARTS PRODUCTION OF HPQ ENDURA+ 18650 AND 21700 CELLS HPQ Silicon Inc. has started production of the first HPQ Endura+ cylindrical battery cells powered by Novacium SAS's Gen3 silicon-based anode technology. This first batch, consisting of 18650 and 21700 cells, is scheduled for delivery to HPQ by the end of September, 2025. HPQ would also like to announce the completion and availability of the first technical data sheets for these cells, developed in collaboration with the manufacturer. The data sheets highlight outstanding battery cell performance and provide information on dimensions and brand design. The document is available for prospective customers and industrial partners. "We are pleased to announce this next step in the commercialization of our HPQ Endura+ lithium-ion-battery cells," said Bernard Tourillon, president and chief executive officer of HPQ Silicon. "The completion of technical data sheets formalizes market readiness, and I'm very proud of the journey thus far." HPQ Endura+: higher energy density, 1,000 cycles and independently validated The HPQ Endura+ 18650 (4,000 milliampere-hour) and 21700 (6,000 milliampere-hour) cells offer increased energy density and a lifespan approaching 1,000 full charge-discharge cycles, validated by independent testing. This milestone represents a key step in the commercialization of its batteries, enabling their seamless integration into a broad range of high-capacity energy applications, including mobility, power tools, consumer electronics, telecommunications (civil and military) and energy storage systems. HPQ Endura+ brand and market opportunity This announcement builds on HPQ's recent developments, including the launch of the HPQ Endura+ brand and the signing of strategic agreements to accelerate the commercialization in North America of lithium batteries incorporating Gen3 silicon-based materials. With the global lithium-ion-battery market expected to grow from $15.92-billion (U.S.) to $45.6-billion (U.S.) by 2033, HPQ is well positioned to capitalize on this expansion through its innovations in silicon-based materials.
