Diverse applications in the oil patch Cleango's flagship product, CG-100, offers at least eight distinct uses within the oil services industry, showcasing its versatility and efficacy: Through reservoir (waterflood enhancement): CG-100 acts as a surfactant, reducing interfacial tension and improving sweep efficiency in waterflood operations. This encourages higher oil recovery, increases ultimate oil recovery noted on reserve reports and monetizes the reservoir with higher production rates. It breaks the oil's bond to the rock's face, allowing it to enter the injected water stream, forming an oil bank as the chemical scours the rock's face. This application generally involves a combination of a one-time batch treatment and then continuous injection, requiring no mechanical changes to existing process piping or wellbore nor regulatory approvals for its introduction. Wellbore tubular cleaning (wax treatments): CG-100 effectively treats wax and asphaltene deposition in wellbores, on artificial lift systems and in flow lines. A designed volume of CG-100 is blended with treating fluid (produced water or 3 per cent to 5 per cent KCl (potassium chloride) water) and displaced down the tubing string for an overnight soak. The application of heat lightens wax deposition on rod strings, reducing electrical/fuel gas consumption. CG-100 also provides a residual coating effect, deferring wax precipitation and promoting lower electrical consumption and lower system pressures. Historical perforation/frac port cleaning: CG-100 is applied to dissolve plugging in perforations and frac ports caused by wax precipitation. The treating chemical is squeezed into the reservoir with surface-applied pressure and allowed to soak for 24 to 72 hours (typically 48 hours). This technique often requires a hot oiler to bring the fluid to temperature, which loosens the plugging. The emulsification properties of CG-100 then address the damage. This method does not require a rig to move tubulars and can also be used in conjunction with 15 per cent to 28 per cent by-volume hydrochloric acid. Flow line cleaning (pigging and flow line maintenance): CG-100 makes wax brittle, facilitating its removal during pipeline pigging processes. It can be injected between pigs in a batch mix or continuously injected with a chemical pump to prevent accumulation. By removing partial plugging, CG-100 reduces back pressure on the system, lessening strain on artificial lift systems, lowering operational costs and promoting more fluid inflow from the reservoir. As a surfactant additive, no facility retrofitting or overhauling of production tubulars is required. Facility cleaning (turnarounds and maintenance): CG-100 reduces the viscosity of sludge accumulations at the bottom of production vessels during facility turnarounds, which are typically conducted every three to five years. It can be sprayed onto tank walls with heated water and a gamma jet to assist with cleaning and inspection. CG-100 has successfully cleaned tanks with dense oil that could not be cleaned by traditional methods, utilizing gamma jetting, vapour phase steaming and pressure washing. Completion systems -- frac spearheading/acid enhancement: CG-100 augments acid dissolving and washing characteristics during fracture stimulations, reducing the parting pressure required to induce a fracture. This saves operators money on horsepower charges and reduces the chances of failed fracture placement. It accelerates and improves the acid reactivity process relative to stand-alone acid. Diluent replacement for well abandonments: During well abandonments, CG-100 helps remove oil from the production casing inside diameter, reducing the risk of groundwater contamination and leaks through the vented surface cap. A dual treatment can be incorporated to minimize surface environmental contamination. By replacing conventional and often toxic chemicals with the company's eco-friendly formulations, Cleango Arabia will enable companies to significantly reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining or even improving operational efficiency and safety.
