BCM Resources starts drilling at Thompson Knolls

B · Price
Executive Summary
- BCM Resources has commenced core tail drilling at its 100% controlled Thompson Knolls porphyry-skarn project in Utah, following the completion and casing of precollar TK15.
- Diamond core drilling will extend TK15 to 5,250 ft, while precollar TK16 has recently begun, targeting a southwest/south vector of mineralization identified from prior hole TK8.
- The fully financed 2026 drill campaign is being executed by National EWP and TonaTec Exploration using specialized RC and diamond rigs to test the highly prospective porphyry-skarn target.
Key Details
- Drilling Progress: Precollar TK15 drilled and cased to 2,030 ft (618.7 m); diamond core drilling to extend to 5,250 ft (1,600.6 m). Precollar TK16 recently commenced.
- Contractors & Equipment: National EWP (Elko, Nev.) utilizing Schramm Epiroc 685 RC rig for precollars; TonaTec Exploration (South Jordan, Utah) deploying AtlasCopco Christensen CS4002 diamond rig for core tails.
- Project Location: 100% controlled Thompson Knolls porphyry-skarn Cu-Ag-Au-Mo discovery in southwestern Utah, proximal to Highway 50.
- Prior Discovery: May 24, 2023 release reported hole TK8 intercept of 155.4 m at 0.66% Cu, 0.12 g/t Au, and 7.4 g/t Ag.
- Geological Vector & Drill Pattern: CASERM study identified strong vector to increasing mineralization southwest/south of TK8. Drill array fans out in a southwesterly/southerly pattern from TK8 with ~250 m spacing. TK15 is ~250 m SW of TK8; TK16 is ~250 m SW of TK15. Both holes are vertical.
- TK15 Geology: Bedrock contact estimated at ~1,930 ft (588.4 m); ~100 ft (30.5 m) of bedrock (recrystallized limestone and skarn) encountered before precollar drilling ceased.
- Regional Context: Skarn mineralization may underlie a broad area beneath the valley floor. Comparable regional deposits include KGHM’s Robinson mine (~120 km west) and Rio Tinto’s Kennecott/Bingham Canyon mine (~200 km NE).
