North Shore Makes Final Option Payment And Completes Earn-In For West Bear Property

On October 23, 2025, North Shore Uranium Ltd. announced it has made the final option payment to Gem Oil Inc. to complete the earn-in for a 75% interest in the West Bear uranium property in Saskatchewan. The final payment consisted of 263,157 common shares at a deemed price of $0.19 per share, satisfying a $50,000 obligation. With the 75% interest earned, a joint venture (JV) has been formed, with North Shore holding 75% and Gem Oil holding 25%. Gem Oil was also granted a 2% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty, of which North Shore can purchase half (1%) for $1,000,000. North Shore also retains the right to acquire the remaining 25% interest from Gem Oil.
This news is a positive, but routine, operational milestone. Fulfilling the option agreement and securing a 75% interest in the West Bear property de-risks the asset from an ownership perspective and solidifies it within the company's portfolio. The use of shares for payment, rather than cash, is prudent and preserves the company's treasury, which was significantly bolstered by the August 2025 financing.
However, the event is not material. The earn-in was based on an agreement from April 2022, and its completion was an expected development for any investor following the company. The news does not introduce new exploration results, change the company's financial standing in a meaningful way, or alter the strategic direction which has recently pivoted towards the Rio Puerco project in New Mexico. The market has likely already priced in the successful completion of this earn-in. Therefore, while it confirms progress, it is unlikely to have a significant impact on the stock price.
North Shore Uranium Ltd. is a Canadian junior exploration company focused on uranium. Historically, its efforts were concentrated in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan, Canada, with two key projects: Falcon and West Bear.
- Falcon Property (Saskatchewan): This remains a key exploration asset where the company has identified 36 uranium targets and made near-surface discoveries in 2024. The company is earning an 80% interest from Skyharbour Resources.
- West Bear Property (Saskatchewan): The company has now earned a 75% interest in this property.
- Rio Puerco Project (New Mexico, USA): In mid-2025, the company made a strategic pivot by acquiring an option to earn up to 87.5% of the Rio Puerco project. This project is now a co-flagship asset and hosts a significant, non-NI 43-101 compliant historical resource of 11.4 million pounds of U3O8 at 0.09%. The company's near-term goal is to validate this historical estimate.
