Coast Copper Outlines Large Critical Mineral (Copper-Molybdenum) Exploration Target at Copper Kettle Project, Vancouver Island, BC

Coast Copper Outlines Large Critical Mineral (Copper-Molybdenum) Exploration Target at Copper Kettle Project, Vancouver Island, BC Canada NewsWire VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 26, 2026 TSX.V: COCO VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 26, 2026 /CNW/ -- Coast Copper Corp. ("Coast Copper" or the "Company"; (TSXV: COCO) is pleased to announce a conceptual exploration target range ("ETR") for the Northwest Target Zone ("NTZ") on its 100%-owned Copper Kettle project ("Copper Kettle" or "Project") which is located on northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The ETR ranges from approximately 270 million tonnes ("Mt") at 0.37% copper equivalent ("CuEq") [0.22% copper ("Cu") and 315 parts per million ("ppm") molybdenum ("Mo")] to 540 Mt at 0.32% CuEq [0.20% Cu and 245 ppm Mo]. These are endpoints of one conceptual range, not separate or additive targets (Table 1). Table 1 – Exploration Target Range at NTZ (Copper Kettle). Tonnage (Mt) Cutoff Grade (CuEq %) CuEq (%) Cu (%) Mo (ppm) Higher Tonnage 540 0.25 0.32 0.20 245 Lower Tonnage 270 0.30 0.37 0.22 315 Notes: 1. Metal prices of US$4.90/lb Cu and US$25.40/lb Mo and assumed recoveries of 86.0% Cu and 82.0% Mo, based on comparables. 2. CuEq (%) = [(Cu% × Cu price × Cu recovery) + (Mo% × Mo price × Mo recovery)] / (Cu price × Cu recovery). 3. No metallurgical testing has been completed on NTZ material. 4. No credit was assigned to Au, Ag or Re. 5. Tonnage was calculated using an assumed bulk density of 2.7, based on comparables. 6. Numbers may not add due to rounding. The Northwest Target Zone has no defined mineral resources pursuant to National Instrument ("NI") 43-101. The exploration target range is not a mineral resource or a mineral reserve. The potential quantity and grade ranges are conceptual in nature; there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource, and it is uncertain whether further exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource. Copper Kettle Highlights: Large Mineralized Footprint: Currently outlined copper-mineralized footprint is approximately ~2,500 metres ("m") x ~800 m. Strategic Location and Infrastructure: Copper Kettle is located between Northisle Copper and Gold Inc.'s ("Northisle") North Island project (Figure 1) and BHP Group Limited's ("BHP") past-producing Island Copper mine. Roads and power lines cross the project area, a historical deep-sea port is located within 10 km, and the project is amenable to year-round exploration. Other Metals (gold, silver, rhenium): The ETR only includes contributions from copper and molybdenum. Both copper and molybdenum are on Canada's Critical Minerals Lista. No credit was assigned to gold, silver or rhenium, which were not systematically assayed in historical drilling. The exclusion of these metals should not be interpreted as evidence of additional recoverable metal or economic value. Broader Lower-Grade Halo: The ETR lies within a broader envelope of lower-grade copper–molybdenum mineralization that Coast Copper is evaluating for potential expansion. Several historical drillholes were drilled too shallow (<150 m) and/or ended in mineralization. This suggests the mineralization is open laterally to the west, northwest and at depth. "Copper Kettle is shaping up to be a much larger mineralized system than we expected. We are eager to responsibly and scientifically advance the Northwest Target Zone, first with geophysics looking at depth and along trend of the relatively shallow historical drilling, and potential follow-up modern diamond drilling with a complete suite of drill core assays including not only copper and molybdenum but also gold, silver and rhenium, which have added significant credit to other deposits in the belt. The adjacent Island Copper Mine was an important mine for BHP and one of Canada's major copper mines when it was in production. Today, this critical minerals district matters to British Columbia and Canada—and we believe Copper Kettle can become an important part of its renaissance," said Adam Travis, CEO of Coast Copper. A broader mineralized system The Exploration Target Range includes blocks above the stated cutoff grades and within the modelled domain (Figures 2a&b). Coast Copper is evaluating surrounding lower-grade Cu-Mo mineralization for potential ETR expansion. Several historical drillholes were drilled too shallow (<150 m) and/or ended in mineralization. This suggests the mineralization is open laterally to the west, northwest and at depth. Coast Copper interprets the disseminated and vein-hosted mineralization, multiphase intrusions and alteration as consistent with a porphyry-style system with locally higher-grade skarn mineralization. The planned IP survey is intended to identify geophysical responses that may assist in defining drill targets at depth and along trend. Any subsequent drilling would test the extent, continuity and grade of mineralization, including beyond the current model. Technical basis of the exploration target The ETR was prepared by Sue Bird, P.Eng., and George Dermer, P.Eng., of Moose Mountain Technical Services ("MMTS"), both of whom are Independent Qualified Persons and Steven Kramar, P.Geo., a Qualified Person and consultant to Coast Copper (Non-Independent). The dataset considered in modelling the NTZ includes 7,208 m of historical diamond and percussion drilling across 37 holes3, with 1,901 assay intervals averaging 3.0 m in length, supplemented by historical geological records4. The NTZ exploration target is based on a three-dimensional mineralized domain defined at a 0.12% CuEq domain threshold (Figures 2a&b), informed by 21 drillholes intersecting the domain. The domain threshold was selected with reference to parameters used at adjacent projects1,b. Assays were composited to 10 m, capped and interpolated into a block model using four-pass inverse-distance-squared estimation guided by preliminary Cu variography. Molybdenum was assumed to have similar spatial continuity. Model validation included comparison with a nearest-neighbour model to ensure no over estimation. The endpoints of the ETR were generated by applying cutoff grades of 0.25% and 0.30% CuEq to the block model. The geological model reflects the gently southwest-dipping Vancouver Group stratigraphy and incorporates tenure and structural boundaries to the north, east and south. Discontinuous multiphase intrusions and alteration changes were represented through assay grades rather than explicitly modelled. Cu-Mo mineralization occurs in broad disseminated and vein-hosted zones, with locally higher-grade skarn mineralization. Data verification and quality control The database used to support the Exploration Target Range was validated by comparing the compiled digital data with drill logs and assay tables reproduced in historical British Columbia assessment reports, validating assay intervals and drillhole geometry, and visiting seven interpreted historical drill-site areas. The validation included verification of every assay within the domains used for the ETR with the original Assessment report data. Original laboratory certificates, complete analytical-method records and complete historical QA/QC documentation were unavailable, and no physical collars were located. Qualified Person The scientific and technical information contained in this news release has been reviewed and approved by Sue Bird, P.Eng. On Behalf of the Board of Directors: "Adam Travis" Adam Travis, Chief Executive Officer and Director Footnotes related to this news release and/or maps 1 Adjacent Properties: Information concerning adjacent properties, including Mineral Resources and historical production, was obtained from the publicly available sources cited herein and has not been independently verified by Coast Copper's Qualified Persons. Coast Copper has no interest in those properties, and their geology, Mineral Resources, exploration results and historical production are not necessarily indicative of mineralization or results at Copper Kettle. 2 Northisle Copper Equivalent (CuEq): Northisle's resource figures and CuEq grades are reproduced from its August 6, 2026 disclosure cited in footnote b, with equivalent metal content converted to billion pounds and figures rounded for presentation. Northisle's CuEq incorporates Cu, Au, Mo and Re using its disclosed NSR methodology and is not directly comparable to Coast Copper's Cu-Mo-only CuEq. 3 Historical Drill Core Sampling & Assay Methodology: Historical core was geologically logged with lithologies identified and notable geological features recorded. Historical core was split in half over sample intervals (lithology and mineralization dependent) generally averaging 3 m in length. Historical analyses primarily targeted Cu and Mo. Au and Ag were analysed infrequently, other major and trace elements were analysed rarely, and rhenium was not specifically analysed. The principal historical lab was BHP's Island Copper Assay Lab. The available records do not establish the laboratory's accreditation status at the time of analysis or provide complete information on sample preparation, digestion and analytical methods, detection limits, or the use and results of standards, blanks and duplicates. The Company therefore cannot independently assess the effectiveness of the historical analytical QA/QC program. Available historical records do not provide equivalent detail regarding the collection and preparation of percussion samples. 4 Historical Geological Data: Geological descriptions and interpretations are based in part on historical geological records reviewed by the Company's QP. Review of these records does not constitute independent confirmation of all original geological observations or interpretations. Historical descriptions of lithology, alteration, mineralization and structural relationships may vary in detail, terminology and reliability. Interpretations based on these records remain subject to uncertainty and may be revised as additional mapping, geological logging and drilling provide further information. aNatural Resources Canada,Critical Minerals: An Opportunity for Canada, Government of Canada (here). b NorthIsle Copper and Gold Inc., NorthIsle Announces Significant Increase to North Island Resource Estimate, August 6, 2026, announcing the 2026 Integrated North Island Project Mineral Resource Estimate, effective July 31, 2026 (here). c British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation,MINFILE Mineral Inventory – Island Copper (092L 158), Government of British Columbia, MINFILE Database (here). d Perelló, J.A., Fleming, J.A., O'Kane, K.P., Burt, P.D., Clarke, G.A., Himes, M.D. and Reeves, A.T., Porphyry Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Deposits in the Island Copper Cluster, Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, 1995, in Porphyry Deposits of the Northwestern Cordillera of North America, CIM Special Volume 46, pp. 214–238. Forward-looking information is often, but not always, identified by words such as "plan", "intend", "expect", "believe", "aim", "potential", "expand", "refine" and "evaluate", and similar expressions, or statements that events or conditions "could", "may", "would" or "will" occur. Forward-looking information in this news release includes statements concerning the possible continuation of NTZ mineralization laterally and at depth; the potential expansion or future revision of the Exploration Target; the exploration potential associated with the interpretation of a larger porphyry system; the planned commencement of the IP survey in Q4 2026, its scope, completion and potential to assist in identifying drill targets; the timing, scope and completion of any subsequent drilling and proposed assays for copper, molybdenum, gold, silver and rhenium; the potential identification of additional mineralization or metals through further work; the continued availability of authorizations, funding, access, personnel, contractors and equipment; whether further exploration may delineate a mineral resource; the Company's aspiration for Copper Kettle to contribute to the district's future mining activity; and the potential for strategic partnerships, asset sales and option agreements to generate capital while limiting shareholder dilution. This forward-looking information is based on assumptions considered reasonable by the Company as of the date of this news release, including that the historical drilling and other exploration data provide a reasonable basis for the conceptual geological interpretation and Exploration Target, subject to the limitations described herein; that the assumptions concerning geological continuity, mineralized volumes, density, metal prices and metallurgical recoveries are appropriate for those conceptual purposes; that existing authorizations remain in force and cover the activities undertaken pursuant to them, and that any amendments or additional authorizations required for subsequent work can be obtained; that available funds are sufficient to complete the planned IP survey at the anticipated cost and that any additional funding required for subsequent drilling can be obtained; that access, personnel, contractors and equipment will be available when required; that First Nations engagement and applicable regulatory processes will progress in a manner consistent with the anticipated work schedule; and, in relation to potential property transactions, that suitable counterparties, acceptable terms and any required approvals can be secured. Actual results may differ materially because of risks and uncertainties, including incomplete, inaccurate or unrepresentative historical data; differences between actual geological conditions and the interpretations and model assumptions used; mineralization failing to continue laterally or at depth; future drilling encountering different grades and widths; the surrounding mineralized halo failing to support additional conceptual tonnage; exploration results failing to support the interpretation of a larger porphyry system; information from adjacent properties proving inapplicable to Copper Kettle; IP anomalies failing to correspond to copper-molybdenum mineralization or suitable drill targets; and project-specific density measurements or metallurgical test results differing from the assumptions used. Further work may not identify additional metals in quantities, grades or forms that could be economically recovered or support additional metal credits. Further exploration may reduce or otherwise revise the Exploration Target and may not delineate a mineral resource. Other risks include delays, cost overruns or cancellation of the IP survey or subsequent drilling; changes to, expiry of or inability to obtain necessary authorizations; insufficient funding or loss of access; unavailability of personnel, contractors or equipment; delays in First Nations engagement or failure to reach anticipated agreements; adverse weather and site conditions; accidents and labour disputes; and changes in commodity prices, laws, regulations and general market conditions. Potential partnerships, asset sales or option agreements may not be completed, may not generate anticipated proceeds and may not reduce the need for dilutive financing. Readers should not place undue reliance on forward-looking information, which speaks only as of the date of this news release.
