Doubleview Reports First 2026 Drill Assays from Hat Project; H109 Returns 541.2 Metres of 0.27% CuEq and H113-H114 Add South-West Extension Data
Doubleview’s hat infill holes returned below resource grade, leaving the MRE, PEA and project thesis unchanged.

Doubleview Gold Corp. (DBG) has released the first assay results from its 2026 Hat drilling campaign, covering four holes: two from the Hat East area and two from the South-West Extension. Approximately 7,400 meters have been drilled in 2026 to date, but only holes H109, H110, H113, and H114 have been assayed and released; the balance, including H111, H112, and follow-up holes, remains pending.
All intervals reported are drill core lengths with true widths not determined and no cutoff stated. The results are as follows:
- H109 (Hat East): 541.2 m @ 0.27% CuEq from 60.0 m, incl. 432.0 m @ 0.30%, 217.2 m @ 0.37%, 128.0 m @ 0.48%, 118.0 m @ 0.50%, 19.0 m @ 1.36%, 13.0 m @ 1.80%
- H110 (Hat East): 408.4 m @ 0.20% CuEq from 38.7 m, incl. 21.4 m @ 0.48%, 111.7 m @ 0.30%, 30.0 m @ 0.78%, 19.0 m @ 1.01%, 6.0 m @ 1.89%
- H113 (South-West Extension): 417.6 m @ 0.23% CuEq from 24.8 m, incl. 108.2 m @ 0.22%, 174.4 m @ 0.31%, 82.4 m @ 0.37%, 7.4 m @ 1.37%
- H114 (South-West Extension): 567.7 m @ 0.16% CuEq from 36.3 m, incl. 89.3 m @ 0.41%, 55.0 m @ 0.49%
The company stated the holes were designed "to fill important data gaps and provide additional drill density for future modelling." No change to resource categories is implied, and the results are not included in the February 4, 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) or the March 2026 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). CEO commentary indicated that these results do not change the current MRE or PEA on their own.
Doubleview Gold Corp. (DBG) released drilling results that fall within or below the grades established in its current mineral resource estimate, with the company acknowledging that the data does not alter its Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) or resource model. The company currently holds a 1.1 billion-tonne resource and a filed PEA valuing the project at C$6.73–7.27 billion in after-tax net present value at a 5% discount rate, based on consensus prices. The assessment outlines an initial capital expenditure of C$3.55–3.83 billion. Doubleview announced an active strategic review with Canaccord Genuity on June 2, 2026.
The latest drilling news follows results from June 9, 2026, which identified the "Far East Zone," a new corridor approximately 150 meters east of previous targets. That earlier announcement reported 444.0 meters at 0.29% copper equivalent and an 8.0-meter interval grading 3.93% copper equivalent and 4.04 grams per tonne gold. The stock closed at approximately C$2.75 on June 9, 2026, and has since declined to C$1.62, representing a drop of roughly 41% from that date and 52% below the C$3.37 high recorded in April.
The recent drill holes, specifically H109, H110, and H114, returned results consistent with historical data or at or below the mineral resource estimate cut-off. Analysts note that material price appreciation typically requires a step-change in scale, such as a new intrusive center near the pit, or infill drilling consistently above the 0.43% resource grade. The current data flow is viewed as neutral, arriving while the stock remains in a confirmed downtrend.
Prior-period financial context not included in the current release indicates a net loss of C$4.58 million for the quarter ended May 31, 2026, driven by C$3.81 million in stock-based compensation. The company reported C$13.5 million in cash and C$13.5 million in working capital with no debt. Operating cash burn was approximately C$0.6 million per quarter, with an additional C$0.7 million in investing outflows. The company’s book value stands at C$0.19 per share against the current share price of C$1.62.
Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG, OTCQX: DBLVF, FSE: 1D4) is a Vancouver-headquartered explorer and developer whose sole material asset is the 100%-owned Hat polymetallic porphyry project in northwestern British Columbia. The project hosts copper, gold, cobalt, silver, and scandium.
The company’s mineral resource estimate, effective February 4, 2026, utilizes a 0.2% CuEq cut-off and is based on 97 diamond holes totaling 49,548 meters. The block model uses 15 × 15 × 15 m dimensions within an optimized open pit. The resource includes:
- 609 Mt Measured & Indicated @ 0.43% CuEq (5.82 Blb CuEq; 2.42 Blb Cu, 3.22 moz Au, 80.1 Mlb Co, 5.05 moz Ag)
- 503 Mt Inferred @ 0.41% CuEq (4.57 Blb CuEq)
- Sc2O3: 2,415 t Measured & Indicated and 1,996 t Inferred, at ~28.8 g/t Sc, treated as a tailings leach stream (~12.5% of material by category)
A preliminary economic assessment (PEA) was completed in March 2026 and filed on April 14, 2026. The plan outlines a 120,000 t/d, 25-year open pit operation. At consensus prices, the project shows an after-tax NPV(5%) of C$6.73–7.27 bn, rising to C$13.53–14.85 bn at spot prices, with an IRR of 19–39%. Initial capital expenditure is estimated at C$3.55–3.83 bn, plus C$2.76–4.01 bn in sustaining capital. The first-10-year average output is projected at approximately 74 kt Cu, 254 koz Au, 376 koz Ag, 2.7 kt Co, and 128 t Sc2O3. Recoveries are estimated at Cu 85%, Au 89%, Co 78%, Ag 68%, and Sc 75%.
As of May 31, 2026, Doubleview Gold had 234.6 million shares outstanding, a book value of C$0.19 per share, C$13.5 million in cash, and no debt. Since June 2, 2026, the company has been undergoing a formal strategic review led by Canaccord Genuity, covering potential sale of the Hat project, merger, joint venture, recapitalization, or strategic investment.
The QP for the MRE is Tomasz Wawruch of Mineit Consulting, metallurgy QP Andrew Carter of Magister, and the NI 43-101 QP for drill releases is Erik Ostensoe. Prior-period context indicates that the Q2-FY2025 (six months to August 31, 2025) financials and MD&A were restated for related-party disclosure and subsequent-event errors, which were not attributed to operations. Christopher Cherry, the CFO, joined the board at the January 2026 AGSM.
