Canadian Goldfields Confirms High-Grade Gold at Michelle Zone, Swayze Central, with Historic Drill Hole Re-Assay Returning 35.00 m at 3.26 g/t Gold, Including 3.00 m at 15.11 g/t and 5.00 m at 6.08 g/t Gold
Canadian Goldfields Discovery reports historic core re-assays that mask weak Swayze debut drilling results and a down-dip miss.

Canadian Goldfields Discovery Corp. (CGM) released results covering the Swayze Central property (Michelle Zone) in Ontario, detailing a quarter-core re-assay of historic hole RPX-10-02, assays from six new 2026 diamond drill holes totaling 1,422 meters, and a B-horizon soil geochemical survey.
The re-assay of historic hole RPX-10-02 returned 35.00 m at 3.26 g/t Au from 93.00 m, including 3.00 m at 15.11 g/t and 5.00 m at 6.08 g/t, plus 1.00 m at 1.64 g/t from 144.00 m. True widths are unknown.
New drilling at the Michelle West extension yielded the following intercepts:
- CGM26-003: Zone 1 returned 18.6 m at 0.26 g/t from 33.0 m (including 1.4 m at 1.37 g/t); Zone 2 returned 48.5 m at 0.54 g/t from 61.5 m (including 1.5 m at 2.56 g/t, 0.7 m at 4.01 g/t, 0.85 m at 2.73 g/t, and 3.05 m at 1.10 g/t). Estimated true width is approximately 50% of core length (9.3 m and 24.3 m).
- CGM26-004: 20.8 m at 0.56 g/t from 7.2 m (including 1.0 m at 2.88 g/t and 1.0 m at 1.98 g/t).
- CGM26-005: 28.44 m at 0.13 g/t from 7.4 m; and 2.1 m at 0.13 g/t from 42.9 m.
- CGM26-002: 20.15 m at 0.33 g/t from 276.0 m (including 7.6 m at 0.58 g/t and 0.75 m at 2.37 g/t). No significant gold was encountered between 180 and 210 m, which is the projected down-dip position of the historic Michelle intercepts.
- CGM26-001: 18.8 m at 0.14 g/t from 132.2 m.
- CGM26-006: 3.4 m at 0.14 g/t from 153.0 m (and 32.0 m at 0.05 g/t from 79 m).
The B-horizon soil survey analyzed 1,808 samples over approximately 113 line-km. Results identified multi-line (up to five lines) east-west anomalies peaking at 94 ppb Au, along with two isolated single-station highs of 2,790 ppb and 977 ppb.
Canadian Goldfields Discovery Corp. (CGM) released new drilling results that did not expand the known system, confirm high-grade continuity, or test the down-dip projection. The only headline-grade figure was a re-assay of a 14-year-old hole, which validated historical data with a slight negative grade revision.
The company’s stock has round-tripped from C$0.58 to C$0.16 and is currently at a 52-week low, indicating the market was not pricing in optimistic Swayze assay results. Consequently, the weak debut drilling does not represent a significant unwind of priced-in optimism. The flagship value driver, Miminiska, remains untouched by this release.
The net effect on the Swayze thesis is roughly neutral-to-negative. While high-grade mineralization is present, it is narrow, anisotropic, and unproven in extent.
Canadian Goldfields Discovery Corp. (CGM) is a pre-revenue gold explorer based in Ontario with two primary assets. Its flagship property is the Miminiska Gold Project, located in northwestern Ontario on a 6,366-hectare claim covering a gold-rich banded-iron-formation system. The site features approximately 28,000 meters of historic drilling across the Miminiska and Frond Zones along a claimed 14-kilometer trend, with 12 kilometers remaining untested. The company plans to conduct a drill program during the winter.
The company’s second asset is Swayze Central, formerly the Newton gold property, situated on approximately 7,029 hectares within the Swayze Greenstone Belt near Timmins. Canadian Goldfields Discovery acquired the property in May 2026 for 12.5 million shares. The acquisition includes a 2% net smelter return (NSR) royalty, half of which is buyable for C$1.5 million, and a 1.5% NSR royalty, buyable for C$500,000.
Financially, the company reported a net loss of C$1.33 million for the first quarter of 2026 and a full-year net loss of C$3.95 million for fiscal year 2026. It holds C$1.58 million in cash and a working capital surplus of approximately C$0.42 million. The company has a going-concern flag and has 107.5 million shares outstanding, with a book value of approximately C$0.09 per share. Prior funding was raised through an upsized C$7.575 million private placement priced at C$0.20 to C$0.22 per share.
