Melkior Resources Confirms Down-Plunge Continuity of Gold Mineralization at the 1010 Zone and Advances Property-Wide Exploration at the Carscallen Gold Property
Melkior confirms depth continuity in early drill results while its capital runway remains tight.

Melkior Resources Inc. has released initial assay results from the first two holes of its 2026 winter diamond drill program at the Carscallen Gold Property. Hole MKR-26-001 returned 2.89 m at 2.91 g/t Au, including 0.90 m at 9.17 g/t Au. Hole MKR-26-002 returned 2.60 m at 2.52 g/t Au, including 0.93 m at 6.33 g/t Au.
These results confirm the down-plunge continuity of gold mineralization within the 1010 South structural corridor, extending the system to approximately 280 metres vertical depth. The 10-hole, 3,136-metre program is now complete, with assays pending for the remaining eight holes.
Surface exploration continues, with 178 rock samples collected and 100 partial assays received. Historical high-grade intercepts, such as 77.4 g/t Au over 6.9 m, and approximately 95% metallurgical recovery underscore the project's potential, though true widths remain unconstrained.
Melkior Resources Inc. (MKR) released a routine follow-up to its April 2026 drilling commencement and June 2026 program completion announcements. Initial results align with management’s expectations and historical data, confirming structural continuity rather than delivering a new, unexpected discovery.
Only 20% of the drill program has been assayed, limiting the material impact until the remaining eight holes are evaluated. The update does not alter the company's near-term capital requirements or operational risks.
Melkior Resources Inc. (MKR) is a Canadian exploration company focused on gold, copper, zinc, and silver projects in Ontario and Quebec. Its flagship asset is the Carscallen Gold Property, a 47 km² site located 25 km west of Timmins, Ontario, within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The project features structurally controlled orogenic gold mineralization along NNW-SSE trending shear corridors. Historical data shows 37 intercepts over 25 g/t Au, with standout results including 77.4 g/t Au over 6.9 m. The company also holds option agreements on the Beschefer East Project in the Detour Gold Camp, Quebec, and the Genex Project in Timmins, Ontario, both of which are in early exploration stages.
