World Copper Announces Brassie Creek Claim Package Expanded by 1,473 Hectares to 3,335 Hectares
World expands land holdings at zero cost while continuing to face cash burn and going concern challenges.

World Copper Ltd. has expanded its Brassie Creek copper-gold project in British Columbia by staking 1,473 hectares of contiguous mineral claims, bringing the total optioned land position to 3,335 hectares. The new ground lies immediately east of the Rattlesnake Creek target area, covering prospective zones identified by earlier exploration and historical IP chargeability anomalies.
The expansion is included in the existing property option agreement on identical terms, requiring no additional cash or share consideration beyond reimbursing staking costs. The option to earn a 100% interest remains: issue 140,000 post-consolidation common shares, pay C$440,000 in cash, and incur C$750,000 in exploration expenditures over up to three years, subject to a 2% NSR royalty.
An independent NI 43-101 technical report by SLR Consulting (effective April 15, 2026) supports the technical disclosure.
World Copper Ltd. (WCU) announced a claim expansion that represents an expected, incremental step under its original option agreement. The move does not alter the company's financial obligations, dilution profile, or royalty structure. While the expansion is strategically positive for land assembly and target definition, it does not de-risk the company's cash position or address the going concern warning. The market had already priced in the land expansion as part of the broader option terms.
World Copper Ltd. (TSXV: WCU) is an exploration-stage junior focused on copper and gold properties. Its flagship asset, the Brassie Creek property in British Columbia, is a porphyry-skarn copper-gold deposit located approximately 50 km west of Kamloops, adjacent to major operating mines including Highland Valley Copper and New Afton. The expanded package covers 3,335 hectares along the northern margin of the Guichon Creek Batholith.
The company completed a court-approved spin-out in July 2026, transferring its Chilean assets, specifically the Escalones project, and Edge Copper shares to a new entity, Spinco. World Copper now focuses exclusively on North American exploration. The Brassie Creek project is in the exploration stage, with historical work including drilling from 1998 to 1999, geochemistry, and IP surveys. There is currently no production or revenue.
