Grid Metals Provides Project Update at Its Falcon West Cesium Project; Grants Incentive Options
Grid advances its Falcon West project to mine planning and permitting with AECOM engagement.

Grid Metals Corp. announced a project update for its Falcon West Cesium Property in Manitoba, stating that it has engaged AECOM Canada ULC to prepare a high-level mine plan, site design, and infrastructure requirements for an Environment Act License (EAL) application. Initial project activities will focus on extracting the near-surface cesium resource at the Lucy South deposit.
The release reiterates the Lucy South resource details: * 51,500 tonnes at 2.58% Cs2O and 1.47% Li2O (Measured) * 15,600 tonnes at 5.19% Cs2O and 1.76% Li2O (Measured)
Additionally, the company granted 850,000 stock options to investor relations consultants and a company consultant at an exercise price of $0.20, vesting over 36 months.
Grid Metals Corp. (GRDM) has engaged AECOM to prepare a high-level mine plan and infrastructure list for an Environmental Assessment License (EAL) application. This move represents a standard progression following the maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) announced on September 30, 2026, and aligns with the company’s stated development roadmap to advance Falcon West toward commercial production.
The company also granted stock options to incentivize consultants, an administrative action that does not materially alter the project's technical or financial outlook. The release confirms that Grid Metals is moving from resource definition into the permitting and mine planning phase. No new financial data, production guidance, or major strategic shifts were disclosed in the announcement.
Grid Metals Corp. (GRDM) is a pre-revenue junior explorer focused on critical and base metals properties in Manitoba and Ontario. Its flagship project is the Falcon West Cesium Property, located 130 km east of Winnipeg. The property is a joint venture between Grid Metals (85%) and Avenir Minerals Limited (15%), a subsidiary of Agnico Eagle Mines Limited.
The Lucy South deposit is classified as cesium-dominant and enriched in pollucite. It is considered the second-largest cesium resource actively developed globally by western-domiciled companies. The resource is entirely in the Measured category, amenable to open-pit mining, and located near-surface at approximately 20m depth. The processing strategy aims for a saleable concentrate on-site using conventional, low-cost crushing and ore sorting, without water usage.
