Transition Metals Extends Geochemical Footprint of Haultain Gold System and Identifies New Large-Scale Exploration Targets at Gowganda Project, Ontario
Transition expands the Gowganda gold footprint by 1,200m ahead of planned drilling in 2027.

Transition Metals Corp. has released results from a 2026 MMI soil geochemical survey at its 100% owned Gowganda Gold Project in Ontario. The survey covered a 2.5 by 1.5 km area, collecting over 1,300 B-horizon soil samples at approximately 25-metre centres. Elevated gold and pathfinder element responses, including silver, arsenic, and copper, show strong spatial correlation with known bedrock mineralization.
The geochemical data expands the exploration footprint of the Haultain gold system by approximately 1,200 metres beneath cover and beyond previously tested areas. The company identified large system-scale targets for follow-up surface work and diamond drilling in 2027. Results are being integrated with geological, geophysical, and historical drilling datasets to refine drill targets. Channel sampling assay results from the 2026 field program are pending and will be incorporated into the target model.
Transition Metals Corp. (XTM) released an update that marks a standard, expected step in its exploration lifecycle, following the August 2026 property expansion to 125 km² and the summer 2026 field program. The company clarified that the identified geochemical anomalies do not constitute economic mineralization, serving only to vector toward potential drill targets. No drill results or resource estimates were provided in the release.
The update is incremental and aligns with previously communicated exploration plans, introducing no fundamentally new valuation drivers or altering the company's pre-revenue status. Consequently, market reaction is likely to be muted.
Transition Metals Corp. (XTM) operates as a multi-commodity project generator and explorer across Canada, leveraging partner funding to advance exploration while minimizing shareholder dilution. The company’s portfolio spans over 20 properties and royalties, covering gold, PGMs, nickel, copper, cobalt, uranium, molybdenum, lead, and tungsten.
The company’s flagship asset is the Gowganda Gold Project in Ontario's Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The property now covers approximately 125 km² along the Ridout-Tyrrell Deformation Zone (RTDZ), a major gold-bearing crustal structure. It is located within 100 km of major producing mines, including IAMGOLD's Côté Gold and Alamos Gold's Young-Davidson Mine.
Other key assets include the Saturday Night PGM-Ni-Cu project in Ontario and the Pike Warden Au-Ag-Cu-Mo-Pb project in Yukon.
