Masivo Silver Reports Broad Polymetallic Mineralization from Initial 2026 Drilling Program at Cerro Colorado Project, Sonora, Mexico

Masivo’s maiden Cerro Colorado hole returned 7 g/t Ag over 32.5 m, falling well below historic grades.

Executive Summary

Masivo Silver Corp. (MASS) has released the first assay results from its 2026 Phase I drill program at the Cerro Colorado project in Sonora, Mexico. The data pertains to a single hole, CC-26-001, which was terminated at 259.5 meters due to technical difficulties.

The company reported the following intercepts:

  • Interval 1: 5.10 m (215.10–220.20 m) averaging 24.0 g/t Ag, 0.611% Zn, 0.121% Pb, 0.035% Cu, 0.024 g/t Au.
  • Interval 2: 32.50 m (226.30–258.80 m) averaging 7.0 g/t Ag, 0.271% Zn, 0.141% Pb, 0.025% Cu, 0.010 g/t Au.
  • Nested inside Interval 2 (SAME rock, not additive): 1.00 m (256.80–257.80 m) at 15.6 g/t Ag, 0.433% Zn, 0.244% Pb, 0.051% Cu, 0.014 g/t Au; and 1.00 m (257.80–258.80 m) at 29.4 g/t Ag, 0.568% Zn, 0.293% Pb, 0.164% Cu, 0.032 g/t Au.
  • "Individual assays returned up to 98.5 g/t Ag, 0.97% Zn, 0.67% Pb, 0.46% Cu and 1.005 g/t Au" (single samples, not intercept averages).

Geological observations describe strongly sericite-altered rhyolitic porphyry. From approximately 215 to 217 meters, the rock contains 5–8% disseminated pyrite with recurring sphalerite, galena, freibergite, and locally chalcopyrite. The release notes that reported intervals represent drilled lengths and that true widths have not yet been determined. No cutoff grade is stated. Qualified Person Brian Brewer, P.Geo., is responsible for the data.

Masivo Silver Corp. also announced it is seeking TSXV approval to increase the Cerro Colorado share consideration from 300,000 to 450,000 shares following the acquisition on October 29, 2025. This release covers only one hole; the company had already completed seven holes totaling approximately 1,601 meters by its May 19, 2026 update. Assays for the other six holes are not included in this announcement.

Material Impact

Masivo Silver Corp. (MASS) released maiden assay results from its flagship project, confirming that the target rock package, alteration, and polymetallic sulphide assemblage extend from approximately 215 meters to at least 258.8 meters downhole. While this provides a genuine data point on scale and continuity, the results do not demonstrate grades near the deposit-type band or the figures the company has previously used to market the project. The outcome represents a modest extension of known geology with disappointing tenor.

The company remains a grassroots explorer with no established resource, metallurgy, or revenue. The stock has experienced significant volatility, round-tripping from C$0.22 in October 2025 to C$0.04 in September 2026, an 82% decline. This price action suggests the market has already priced in a poor outcome, meaning there is no priced-up expectation for this release to beat.

Prior-period context from the FY2026 MD&A highlights a going-concern warning, with cash reserves of only approximately C$945,655 as of March 31, 2026. The company is in default on its Cerro Colorado and Jackpot option agreements, with negotiations currently underway. At a market capitalization of approximately C$3 million, Masivo Silver Corp. functions as a binary option on the Cerro Colorado discovery. A single hole returning 24 g/t AgEq does not convert this option; rather, it suggests the option is out of the money at depth. For a company at this stage, a low-grade maiden result makes equity financing both harder and more dilutive, representing the operative risk.

Company Overview

Masivo Silver Corp. (TSXV: MASS; OTC Pink: GNYPF) is a pre-revenue Canadian junior silver-gold-copper explorer with a market capitalization of approximately C$3.1M at a share price of C$0.04. The company has approximately 77.2M shares outstanding, no debt, and held approximately C$945,655 in cash as of March 31, 2026. The company holds two concessions at Cerro Colorado in Sonora, Mexico, located approximately 28 km northeast of Álamos and 10–11 km north of the Piedras Verdes open-pit copper mine. The size of the concessions is listed as approximately 2,649 ha in the acquisition release and approximately 2,184 ha in the presentation. Masivo Silver has an option to acquire 100% of the property over 48 months on a cash-or-share schedule, with a 1.5% NSR retained by Minera Goldzone and a US$1M buy-out right. The company is in default on this option agreement, according to the MD&A.

At the Boston Mine in Elko County, Nevada, a historic pre-WWII producer, the July 15, 2026 release reported drill hole BM21-01 as 45 ft @ 3.25% CuEq, including 5 ft @ 6.39% CuEq. Two IP holes, BMIP-01 and BMIP-02, hit favorable calc-silicate alteration but were not sampled. The company is also in default on the Jackpot/JP claim in Nevada, per the MD&A.

The investor presentation references a mobile approximately 300 tpd processing plant, stated to have a value of approximately US$10M, which is able to be relocated to Cerro Colorado or Boston. Notable shareholders include Eric Sprott and Ernesto Echavarría.
