NexGen Announces Highest-Grade Assay to Date from Patterson Corridor East

The most recent news, dated December 1, 2025, announces the highest-grade assay results to date from the Patterson Corridor East (PCE) discovery on the Rook I property. Drill hole RK-25-256 returned an intersection of 5.5 meters at 21.4% U3O8, which includes a sub-interval of 2.5 meters at 46.1% U3O8 and an ultra-high-grade 0.5 meters at 74.8% U3O8. This high-grade zone is located 119 meters down-dip from a previous high-grade intercept. The CEO, Leigh Curyer, stated these results take PCE "into a rare mineralized category on a world scale" and noted the mineralization is synonymous with the world-class Arrow deposit, located 3.5 km away.
The assay results for drill hole RK-25-256 are materially positive. While these are exploration results for a deposit that does not yet have a defined resource, the grades are exceptional and rank among the highest ever reported in the Athabasca Basin.
This news is a direct and successful follow-up to the August 28, 2025 release, which reported "off-scale" (>61,000 cps) scintillator readings from this same hole. The confirmation of such ultra-high grades via assay validates the company's exploration methodology and significantly increases the confidence in the geological model for PCE.
Looking at the progression of news, NexGen has consistently delivered spectacular exploration results at PCE throughout 2025, starting with scintillator results and following up with world-class assays (e.g., May 27 and November 12 releases). This latest result from RK-25-256 is the best yet, confirming that PCE is not a minor satellite deposit but a major, high-grade discovery in its own right with the potential to rival the main Arrow deposit.
This significantly enhances the long-term value proposition for NexGen. While the company's primary focus remains on permitting and building the Rook I mine at the Arrow deposit, the emergence of a second world-class deposit on the same property provides enormous optionality and resource growth potential. It transforms the Rook I property into a potential multi-deposit mining camp.
The news adds to the strong momentum the company has built. It comes just after the company announced its participation in the final CNSC hearings for the Rook I project (November 19) and successfully closed a massive C$950 million global equity offering (October 16). The positive exploration news reinforces the narrative of a top-tier asset in a strong uranium market, which is crucial as the company moves towards a final construction decision and securing the remainder of its project financing.
From a critical perspective, it is important to remember that this is a single drill hole, and a full resource estimate for PCE is still a long way off. However, the consistent pattern of hitting high-grade mineralization in wide-spaced drilling strongly suggests a significant mineralized system. The impact on the stock is positive, as it confirms and exceeds the market's already high expectations for this discovery.
NexGen Energy Ltd. is a Canadian uranium exploration and development company focused on its 100%-owned Rook I Project in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. Its flagship asset is the Arrow Deposit, one of the world's largest and highest-grade undeveloped uranium deposits. The company is in the final stages of the environmental assessment and licensing process to build and operate a large-scale underground mine and milling complex at Rook I. In addition to Arrow, NexGen has made a major new high-grade discovery on the same property, Patterson Corridor East (PCE), which is currently undergoing a major exploration drill program.
