AnorTech Welcomes Historic Greenland Security Agreement
Anorthech’s Greenland anorthosite project benefits from a new security pact that strengthens the outlook for its mineral development.

Anortech Inc. (ANOR) highlighted the signing of the Greenland Security Agreement by Greenland, Denmark, and the United States, describing the development as a catalyst for increased investment in critical mineral projects within the region. The company reaffirmed its strategic position, noting it owns 100% of the Gronne Bjerg anorthosite project and emphasizing the stability and sovereignty protections offered by the new accord.
Operational updates included the filing of a US provisional patent in 2025 for its sustainable SGA and HPA process, as well as the shipment of 15 tonnes of anorthosite to Ontario for pilot plant testing. Financially, the company reported over C$3 million in working capital, bolstered by recent non-dilutive proceeds from the Sarfartoq transaction. President Jim Cambon stated that the agreement brings security and stability, reinforcing Greenland's role in secure supply chains for critical resources.
Anortech Inc. (ANOR) released a strategic and geopolitical update rather than a financial or operational milestone, highlighting improved geopolitical stability for Greenland's mining sector. This announcement follows the June 2026 strategic share exchange with Greenland Mines and the September 2026 receipt of $1.0M USD and 70,000 Greenland Mines shares from the Sarfartoq transaction.
The market was already aware of the Greenland Mines partnership and the Sarfartoq proceeds. While the geopolitical framing adds narrative tailwinds, it does not change the company's financial position, operational timeline, or near-term catalysts. The news is incremental and expected in the context of ongoing Greenland critical mineral development, reinforcing management's narrative without the surprise or material financial impact typically associated with significant corporate events.
Anortech Inc. (ANOR) is a pre-revenue critical minerals company focused on the commercialization of anorthosite-based technologies. Its flagship asset is the 100% owned Gronne Bjerg anorthosite project in Greenland, located 80 km northeast of Nuuk, which features adjacent hydroelectric potential and tidewater access.
The company’s product pipeline includes zero-waste Smelter Grade Alumina (SGA), High Purity Alumina (HPA), CO2-free refractory cement, advanced 3D-printable cement, and lunar construction materials. Anortech has expanded the mapped high-purity anorthosite footprint to 4.2 km x 2.3 km, with assay results showing an average Al2O3 of 31.9% and low impurity levels. Environmental baseline studies are complete, positioning the company for a 2026 exploitation licence application.
