Apogee Minerals Closes Knife Lake Copper Project Option Transaction and Files Independent NI 43-101 Technical Report
Apogee closes the Knife Lake option and files a NI 43-101 report, advancing its flagship copper project.

Apogee Minerals Ltd. has closed its option transaction with Trident Resources Corp. to acquire a 100% interest in the Knife Lake Copper Project in Saskatchewan. The closing consideration included $100,000 in cash and the issuance of 7,400,000 common shares to Trident.
An independent NI 43-101 Technical Report was filed, incorporating 2021 and 2022 drilling results and outlining a recommended two-phase exploration program totaling C$2.385 million. The property hosts a historical mineral resource of 3,836 kt Indicated and 7,902 kt Inferred at a 0.4% CuEq cut-off.
The project carries underlying NSR royalties: 2.5% to Summit Royalties Ltd. and 1.5% to a private individual. Future share issuances are capped to prevent Trident from exceeding 10% ownership or becoming a reporting insider.
Apogee Minerals Ltd. (APMI) announced the closing of the Knife Lake option on July 14, 2026, marking the routine execution of a previously disclosed transaction. The accompanying NI 43-101 filing provides technical validation based on historical data from a 2019 estimate, but does not constitute a new resource estimate.
The financial terms, including a dilutive issuance of 7.4 million shares and a cash outlay of $100,000, were priced into the July announcement and the subsequent $2.74 million private placement in May 2026. The news confirms project advancement but introduces no new valuation drivers or unexpected catalysts, representing a standard milestone for a junior explorer advancing a flagship asset.
Apogee Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: APMI) is a pre-revenue mineral exploration company. Its flagship asset is the Knife Lake Copper Project, located approximately 130 km NNW of Flin Flon, Saskatchewan. The company also holds the early-stage May Lake Project. Its Pine Channel Property option was terminated in December 2025, resulting in a $436,000 impairment charge.
