Blackrock Silver Announces Inclusion into the GDXJ
Blackrock’s Tonopah West drilling highlights include 10.9 g/t gold over 1.5 metres, supporting its recent TSX Graduation and GDXJ inclusion.

Blackrock Silver Corp. (BRC) was added to the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF (GDXJ), effective at the close of trading on September 18, 2026. The inclusion follows the ETF's semi-annual review and rebalance, with GDXJ holding approximately US$9.2 billion in net assets.
CEO Andrew Pollard stated that joining the index broadens the shareholder register, elevates the company's profile among sector-focused investors, and should support deeper trading liquidity. The announcement comes one day after the company received conditional approval to list on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and establish a C$50 million At-The-Market (ATM) equity distribution program.
Operational focus remains on de-risking the Tonopah West project in Nevada, with initial underground development targeted for 2027.
Blackrock Silver Corp. (BRC) has been included in the GDXJ, a development that provides a liquidity and visibility catalyst. This inclusion follows the company’s graduation to the TSX and the strong March 2026 PEA results. Index inclusion typically forces passive fund buying, which can provide a short-term price floor and improve bid-ask spreads, though it does not alter the underlying project economics, development timeline, or capital requirements.
The news is incremental to the TSX listing and ATM facility announced on September 14, 2026. It validates the company's progression but does not constitute a fundamental shift in strategy or financial position.
Blackrock Silver Corp. (BRC) is a pre-revenue silver-gold developer focused on the 100%-owned Tonopah West project in Nye and Esmeralda Counties, Nevada. The flagship project is situated on the Walker Lane trend, adjacent to Tonopah, with immediate paved-road access and existing infrastructure.
An updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) released in March 2026 outlines an 11.2-year mine life with average annual production of 7.1 million silver-equivalent ounces. Economic metrics include an All-In Sustaining Cost (AISC) of US$17.44 per AgEq ounce, an after-tax NPV5% of US$437 million, and an IRR of 28% at base-case metal prices ($31/oz Ag, $2,700/oz Au).
The mineral resource estimate shows 40.2 million ounces AgEq in the Indicated category and 83 million ounces AgEq in the Inferred category. The company is also advancing the early-stage Silver Cloud project in Elko County, Nevada.
