Tectonic Metals Drills 1.40 g/t Au over 30.00 metres, Including 4.58 g/t Au over 4.50 metres, Extending Higher-Grade Corridor to 300 metres Vertical Depth at Chicken Mountain, Flat Gold Project, Alaska
Tectonic’s first 2026 Chicken Mountain assays extend the deposit’s depth and south footprint without reporting bonanza-grade intersections.

Tectonic Metals Inc. (TECT) has released the first 2026 assay results from Chicken Mountain at its Flat Gold Project, covering 15 holes that total 2,276 metres of a year-to-date drilling program comprising 22,000 metres. Assays remain pending for 97 additional holes, which represent approximately 18,000 metres of the company’s 2026 drilling efforts.
The headline diamond hole, CMD26-036, returned 1.40 g/t Au over 30.00 m from 183.00 m, including a higher-grade interval of 4.58 g/t Au over 4.50 m. A separate deeper interval in the same hole returned 0.51 g/t Au over 118.16 m from 270.00 m to the end-of-hole at 388.16 m, including 0.93 g/t Au over 19.50 m and 1.42 g/t Au over 7.50 m.
Southern step-out and delineation intercepts included the following:
- CMR26-141: 0.31 g/t Au over 25.91 m from 144.78 m, including 0.81 g/t Au over 4.57 m; the hole ended in mineralization at 172.21 m.
- CMR26-142: 0.56 g/t Au over 38.10 m from 80.77 m, including 3.06 g/t Au over 4.57 m.
- CMR26-128: 0.71 g/t Au over 22.86 m from 59.44 m, including 6.79 g/t Au over 1.52 m.
The release frames these results as extending Central Corridor 2 to over 300 metres vertical depth and expanding the southern mineralized footprint by 200 metres to about 600 metres. Company-wide success metrics indicate that 206 of 206 Chicken Mountain holes have intersected gold, with over 60% ending in mineralization.
Tectonic Metals Inc. (TECT) holds approximately C$83.2 million in cash as of June 30, 2026, with no debt and a market capitalization near C$309 million, based on a closing price of C$2.30. The equity has seen significant movement, rising from about C$0.80 in early November 2025 and C$1.00 on January 21, 2026, to a high of C$3.15 on January 30, 2026. This valuation reflects market expectations for a large, continuous, bulk-tonnage gold system and progress toward a maiden resource.
The company’s latest release marks the first 2026 Chicken Mountain delineation data, confirming depth extension and footprint expansion without introducing new bonanza-grade discovery. Results against the same-corridor CMD25-011 anchor are broadly in line, featuring a high-grade subset with similar grade and slightly longer length, while the wide interval is somewhat lower grade. Although the results appear weak against the stronger CMR25-084 364 g-m anchor, that anchor belongs to a different corridor and is not the relevant benchmark for a central corridor depth step-out.
The southern footprint expansion adds scale at low grades, a factor that could be valuable in a bulk-tonnage heap-leach scenario only if the mineralized volume is large and recoveries and costs are favorable. No such economic threshold has yet been demonstrated. The expected share-price impact is likely a modest positive or sideways reaction, rather than a 15%+ catalyst, with the pending 97-hole assay pipeline and the maiden resource serving as the larger upcoming catalysts.
Tectonic Metals Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration company listed on the TSX-V and OTCQX. Its flagship asset is the Flat Gold Project in southwestern Alaska, which covers 99,840 acres of predominantly Doyon Limited Native-owned land. The company describes its deposit and geological model as a Reduced Intrusion Related Gold System, comparing it to the Fort Knox mine.
Six district-scale intrusion targets have been identified across a 20-kilometre trend, including Chicken Mountain, Alpha Bowl, Black Creek, Jam, Golden Apex, Horseshoe, and Caribou. Chicken Mountain is the most advanced target, featuring 3.3 km of drilled strike, widths of up to 700 m, and vertical depths exceeding 300 m. The site contains six higher-grade corridors, with 206 holes drilled that achieved 100% gold hits and over 60% ending in mineralization. No mineral resource estimate has yet been published, with a maiden MRE targeted for Q1 2027.
Black Creek is emerging as a second gold centre, with high-grade intercepts reported in 2025 and 2026. The management team includes former Kaminak Gold personnel associated with the Coffee Gold Project sale to Goldcorp for C$520 million in 2016.
As of June 30, 2026, the company held approximately C$83.2 million in cash with no reported debt and 134,522,870 shares outstanding. Tectonic Metals is a pre-revenue, exploration-stage company, and future work will require additional equity capital beyond 12 months.
