Pampa Medina Continues to Deliver Extraordinary Cu-Ag Grade-Widths - Drilling Intersects 216m of 1.0% Cu and 7.2g/t Ag Including 62m of 2.2% Cu and 21.5g/t Ag from SPRD-15
Marimaca reports 173m true width at 0.96% copper, expanding the manto system while the stock continues to discount the discovery.

Marimaca Copper Corp. (MARI) has released assay results from its 2026 Pampa Medina drilling program in Chile. The headline hole, SPRD-15, located in the central high-grade sulphide zone, returned 216m @0.96% Cu and 7.2g/t Ag from 466m downhole.
Included intervals within this hole are: - 82m @1.72% Cu and 16.3g/t Ag from 600m - 62m @2.20% Cu and 21.5g/t Ag from 602m - 14m @3.05% Cu and 26.7g/t Ag from 606m - 12m @3.25% Cu and 36.7g/t Ag from 632m - 6m @2.00% Cu and 12.0g/t Ag from 506m
Step-out hole SPD-13 in the southeast returned 222m @0.50% Cu from 194m, including 48m @1.05% Cu from 368m with 12m @1.99% Cu. Step-out hole SPRD-12, drilled approximately 300m west, returned 56m @0.95% Cu and 4.2g/t Ag from 748m, including 22m @1.80% Cu and 9.7g/t Ag with 8m @2.42% Cu. Step-out hole SPRD-17, located 150m east, returned 104m @0.65% Cu from 522m, including 30m @0.96% and 40m @0.89% Cu.
Scout RC holes drilled to the north and northwest did not reach target sediments in several cases, and diamond tail drilling is currently underway. True widths are estimated at approximately 80% of the reported downhole intervals.
Marimaca Copper Corp. (MARI) is a development-stage company utilizing the MOD DFS as its base asset, with Pampa Medina serving as satellite upside. The MOD project holds post-tax NPV at 8% of US$1.1 billion at US$5.05/lb Cu, based on 178.6Mt reserves grading 0.42% Cu. With a market capitalization of approximately C$1.08 billion, the stock already prices a substantial portion of MOD plus optionality, confirming the company is not a pure grassroots explorer.
The prior anchor result on the same Pampa Medina system was SPRD-07 on July 7, 2026, which returned 104m @1.01% Cu (105 %Cu-m) and 20m @2.65% Cu (53 %Cu-m). SPRD-15 roughly doubles the broad grade-width and delivers a longer high-grade core, extending the footprint 300m west/south. This release represents a materially stronger result than the previous best, though it is not yet a resource or economic event.
The stock has not re-rated into these results, closing at C$8.02 before this release, far below the C$12.57 52-week high and only modestly above the C$7.06 low. Previous strong holes faded quickly, so the embedded expectation anchor is not demanding repetition. Pampa Medina still lacks a maiden resource, metallurgy, and mine-plan context.
Marimaca Copper Corp. is a Chilean copper developer whose flagship asset is the Marimaca Oxide Deposit (MOD), located approximately 28km from Pampa Medina. The 2025 Definitive Feasibility Study outlines reserves of 178.6Mt at 0.42% Cu, supporting a 13-year mine life. The project targets 50ktpa of copper cathode production, with an initial capital expenditure of US$587 million, a post-tax net present value of US$1.1 billion, and a 39% internal rate of return at a copper price of US$5.05/lb.
Pampa Medina and Madrugador are currently in the exploration and resource-definition stages, featuring an existing modest mineral resource and ongoing drilling activities. According to a May 2026 presentation, the company held US$147.2 million in cash with no debt, though this financial position was not disclosed in today’s release. Major shareholders include Assore, Ithaki, Greenstone, and Mitsubishi Corporation.
